Cap Schengen

The Insurance for the Schengen Visa in Europe

You have decided to come to Europe for a private or family visit for less than 90 days. You have started the Schengen Visa application process but the consulate is asking you for proof that you have health insurance.

If you wish to welcome an overseas visitor, you must fill out a Certificate of Board and Lodging at the town hall of your place of residence. Then again, you will be asked to provide a a Schengen visa insurance policy along with the certificate.

Indeed, in March 2001, the Schengen Space countries signed an agreement allowing foreign citizens to freely move about within the territory on a single visa.

In order to be granted the Schengen Visa, it is a legal requirement that the holder has an insurance that will cover health related expenses in case of a hospitalisation. The threshold for medical expenses must be a minimum of €30,000.

Our insurance will cover you in the visited country, in all other Schengen Area countries, as well as Cyprus, Romania and United-Kingdom.

New: Get your certificate of insurance by email.
